Educational Robotics in Remote Villages of Kalambaka

The Spike Prime robotics training package successfully traveled to Xanthi, giving children the opportunity to connect remotely with the Library and attend robotics classes. Lego Education WeDo 2.0 and Panagia Primary School, one of the most remote villages in the Municipality of Meteora, are next in line.

WeDo is designed for aged 7 – 10, improving children’s skills in science and engineering. Through exploratory learning, children develop their own ideas and theories and bring science to life through programming.

As the Library has the necessary infrastructure to support distance learning, two of the WeDo 2.0 packages in its possession will be made available to school students to familiarize them with robotics and new technologies.

We thank the Primary School of Panagia and the educational staff who gladly accepted our proposal.

We hope this effort will be the beginning of a series of educational programs in remote areas and a source of inspiration for future Primary schools in our Municipality.
