Summer Activities 2026: The Magic of the Book: Little Authors & Illustrators!

Every time we open a book, a brand new world of adventure comes alive!

On Wednesday, August 12th, as part of our Summer Educational & Creativity Workshop, we invite our young bookworms to a simple, cozy, and highly imaginative workshop dedicated to the world of storytelling.

Through simple crafts and creative prompts, children will discover the true magic behind making their own stories!

Our Simple & Creative Activities Include:

• The Hunt for the Missing Pages: A mischievous elf has stolen the pages from our storybook and hidden them around the room! The kids become book-detectives to track them down, and once the book is whole again, we enjoy a fun, interactive read-aloud.
• DIY Bookmark Workshop (For all ages): Crafting the coolest custom bookmarks! Younger kids can use stickers, craft sticks, and markers, while older kids can fold origami corner-bookmarks shaped like funny animals—just like the cute rabbit, penguin, and octopus on our poster!
• My Alternative Ending: We become authors! We twist the ending of the story we just read. Older children can write or sketch their ideas in a comic format, while younger ones share their alternate endings out loud and paint them.
