As part of the 2025 Summer Campaign under the title “Everything is Heroic”, children are invited to explore the legendary figure of Achilles from a fresh perspective—not just as a warrior, but as a complex character with emotions, dilemmas, and inner conflicts. Through excerpts, images, storytelling, and creative activities, they uncover the many sides of the Homeric hero.

🎯 Workshop objectives:

  • To highlight the different psychological states and emotional shifts of Achilles throughout the Iliad.

  • To encourage children to combine visual and narrative information in order to form their own perspective on the characters of the Homeric epic.

  • To introduce the Homeric epics in an alternative, more engaging and experiential way.

  • To promote group dialogue, active listening, and the sharing of observations.

  • To guide children toward broader conclusions about what it means to be a hero—not just someone powerful, but someone who feels, struggles, and chooses.

A journey through ancient myth that connects with modern understanding—a new way to discover that heroism can be human, too.
