Workshop Objectives:

  • To introduce children to the role of the library and the librarian, helping them understand why the organization and classification of books are important.

  • To practice grouping and categorizing information by sorting books into thematic categories through collaborative activities.

  • To give them a first look at basic library science principles and the meaning of the numbers on book spines (call numbers), enabling them to search for books in a library.

  • To develop skills in cooperation, communication, and creative thinking.

  • To foster their imagination and creativity.

Through play and experiential learning, children will discover that behind every well-organized library lies a fascinating process that makes knowledge easily accessible to everyone.
