Starting from the idea that “A book always has two creators: the one who writes it and the one who reads it,” the experiential workshop “Shall I tell you a tale? A tale am I! – Stories from paper to mouth” will take place on Friday, June 19, at 12:00 p.m. This interactive event highlights the power of storytelling and the magic of narratives.
Discover the Value of Storytelling: To introduce children to storytelling as the oldest and most direct form of art, helping them understand its role in developing imagination, emotional expression, and social skills.
Read vs. Tell: To help children distinguish between reading aloud and oral storytelling, recognizing the unique characteristics of each form.
Learn Storytelling Techniques: To familiarise them with simple storytelling techniques so they can present even a short story with naturalness, ease, and enthusiasm.
Explore Literary Genres: To introduce them to different literary genres and forms of oral speech.
Experiment with Storytelling Tools: To give them hands-on experience with a storyteller’s core tools, such as voice, rhythm, facial expression, and the creative use of imagination.
The workshop aspires to cultivate children’s love for books and oral tradition, while simultaneously boosting their creativity, self-confidence, and communication skills.
