MANGA & COMICS Reading Club: Summer Fanmade Magazine Workshop!

This summer, our Library is transforming into the ultimate destination for Japanese culture and comics enthusiasts! If you love Manga and Anime, want to share your passion with like-minded people, and, most importantly, want to see your own ideas come to life in print, we welcome you to the brand-new MANGA & COMICS Reading Club.

Starting Thursday, July 2nd, the Club launches its main summer project and invites all comic and manga lovers to become part of a unique creative team. Throughout the summer, weekly sessions will be held with a shared, exciting goal: to co-create our very own Fanzine! An original, collaborative magazine packed with creativity, imagination, and plenty of humor.

Each session will include:

• Reading & Discussion: We analyze characters, plots, storylines, and our favorite themes.

• Creative Columns: We design surprise columns, award “fake” prizes, and write fan letters to our favorite heroes.

• Writing & Imagination: We compose imaginary interviews, hide secret pages, and develop the team’s wildest ideas.

At the end of the workshop, every participant will receive their own personal, printed copy of the magazine we created, along with commemorative freebies!
