Kalambaka Library, Papantos Bookstore, and Chartini Poli Publications cordially invite you to a special evening dedicated to literature and Crete, on the occasion of the presentation of the new novel by award-winning author Giannis Kalpouzos, entitled:
“Methystis – In the Land of Crete”
The presentation will take place on Wednesday, May 7, 2025, at the Kalampaka Library, starting at 8:00 p.m.
The author himself will speak about his new book, while excerpts will be read by:
Ms. Kiki Koutsogianni, Primary Education Teacher
and Mr. Nikolaos Tsioukas, Deputy Mayor for Culture of the Municipality of Meteora.
The event will be accompanied by musical performances from members of the Cultural Association “Ta Meteora”, and traditional Cretan dances presented by the Cretan Association of Trikala Prefecture “O Psiloritis”, under the guidance of dance instructor Mr. N. Rountos.
The evening will open with a welcome address by the Director of the Kalampaka Library.
We invite you to meet the author in person and embark with him on a literary journey through Crete, as portrayed through his rich storytelling and distinctive writing style.
