Conference of AGLIS 2025 – “The Democracy of Knowledge – Dangers of Misinformation”

 Kalambaka Library, in co-organization with the Municipality of Meteora and under the auspices of the Region of Thessaly – Regional Unit of Trikala, is hosting the annual conference of the Association of Greek Librarians and Information Scientists (EEBEP) with the theme: “The Democracy of Knowledge and the Dangers of Misinformation.”

The conference will take place from June 11 to 13, 2025, at the Kalambaka Library (9 Rhodou Street, Kalambaka) and the Divani Meteora Hotel (National Road Trikala–Ioannina 422 00, Kalambaka).

This event is the result of a broader and dynamic collaboration between institutions, information professionals, and local stakeholders, sharing a common goal: to promote critical thinking and transparency in an age of information abundance that is often distorted.

The program includes keynote speakers, thematic panels, and interactive workshops designed to inspire, mobilize, and empower librarians, educators, and researchers.

We invite all members of the wider library and education community to actively participate in a meaningful dialogue aimed at shaping collective responses to the challenges of misinformation and safeguarding knowledge as a common good accessible to all.
