Boomwacker Music Tube Workshop for Children and Parents

The music teacher and author Efi Bahchevana will visit the Library on Thursday, June 13th at 5:00 pm, to introduce the participants to the magic world of Boomwhackers musical tubes. The workshop is designed for parents and children.

The boomwhackers (BW) were invented by American Craig Ramsell in 1995 and have joined music education world-wide in recent years with great success by changing the data in learning music. The boomwhackers are plastic, tubular tubes in different sizes and colors which, when hit on a fixed point (e.g. palm, hands, thighs, knees, floor, table, chair etc.) produce from a different musical sound. Each sound corresponds to a particular note of the diakonic and color scale. Depending on the size of each tube, the corresponding note is also produced. Children will learn by playing and working in groups rather than individually. They understand and teach musical concepts in a simple and entertaining way. Children coordinate with each other, gather, collaborate, and make decisions.
