Documentary Linguistics and its Role in the Revival of Endangered Languages and Dialects

Mrs. Elisavet Mela-Athanasopoulou, Professor of Linguistics of the Department of English at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, will present a speech on June 11 on the issue of endangered languages and dialects, focusing on her local research on the life and tradition of the Kalash, indigenous people, residing in Himalayas. The speech will be followed by videos from the annual Kalash celebrations during Ms. Mela’s trek.
