A Boat Is Sailing

On Friday, July 24, at 10 a.m., the Library is visiting the village Kastania to implement a children’s workshop on the well-known and mythical boat. Our little friends are going to learn about a widely traveled boat, which started the journey from the ancient Greek city Iolcus, located in central Magnesia, passed between the Symplegades (also known as the Cyanean Rocks) and finally reached Colchis, located on the eastern coast of the Black Sea, centered in present-day western Georgia. The children will learn about the Argonauts’ adventure and they will make their own crafts using simple materials and their imagination.
