Fantasy and Horror Literature Workshop

On February 9 and every second Tuesday, a workshop on Fantasy and Horror Literature for teenagers and adults will commence. In this workshop, we will investigate the reasons why this literary genre differs from the rest. Its purpose is to guide the reader on paths beyond the ordinary, to awaken in them the feeling of fear, and, ultimately, to lead them to catharsis. The topics that the participants will discuss are:

• Presentation of the history and origin of the genres.
• Characteristics of the genres.
• Analysis of subcategories.
• Differences between horror and thriller.
• How horror literature has affected cinema, television and everyday life.
• Discussion with experts in the field.
• Writing our own horror stories.
