Event from the French Institute in Larisa, Including Kalambaka Library

Οn Tuesday, July 20, 2021, at 20.00 in the courtyard of the Church of the Assumption of the Virgin in Kalambaka, under the sacred rocks of Meteora, a joint presentation  by the French Institute of Greece in Larissa with the Region of Thessaly will be implemented on the occasion of the celebration of the two hundred years since the Greek Revolution in 1821. The basis of the joint action is the digital exhibition “For Greece out of love!”, an exhibition on the Greek Revolution of 1821, in collaboration with the National Library of France (BnF) and its journalistic website RetroNews. The event is under the auspices of the Municipality of Meteora.

KALAMBAKA LIBRARY: “With love from Kalambaka” Subject Description: 3D Scanning and Printing of the local hero Papathymios Vlachava’s bust.

METEORON LITHOPOLIS: A speech on 1821-1920: an ongoing revolution. Speaker: Karabelias George, Science Politician – Author

MUSEUM OF GREEK EDUCATION: The French language teaching in Greek education. Topic Description: From Rigas and Korais to the present day: What was the influence of the French educational system in the Greek school and what was the role of the French language in Greek language. A research effort through the exhibits and collections of the Museum of Greek Education. The digital exhibition will remain until December 31, 2021 at the Kalambaka Library and the Museum of Greek Education.
