“Like a Small Boat that Will Harbor”

The Library in collaboration with the 1st Kalambaka Primary School, participates in the educational activity “Like a Small Boat That Will Harbor…” which is implemented in the framework of the anniversary exhibition co-organized by the General Archives of the State and the Eugenides Foundation.

The program aims at highlighting, disseminating and utilizing the files in the educational process. The rich and important archival material from the pre-revolutionary years and the years of the Struggle at sea presents a remarkable variety: items, maps, portraits, engravings, letters, heirlooms, flags, navigation instruments, etc. The students approach important events, military operations, fleet organizational issues, emblematic naval personalities but also the daily stories, thoughts and difficulties of life in the Aegean of the Revolution by participating in activities and games, using digital applications and innovative methods.
