Speech on Humans and the Universe

Mr. Dionysis Simopoulos (Physicist – Astronomer, and honorary President of the Eugenides Planetarium) will talk about the connection between humankind and universe, the big questions Astronomy has to answer, and all laws of Physics surrounding us. Mainly, however, Mr. Simopoulos will discuss the recent discovery of gravitαtional waves, analysis of which promises that we may be able to “listen” to the universe “whisper”.

If the weather conditions are kind, we will also be looking through the Library’s telescope at the stars.
