The Drum and Turtle: A Musical Activity

On the occasion of the African folk tale, we get to know the seemingly dissimilar musical instruments and games of this continent to those of the Greek tradition. The children participate in an interactive musical story telling with theatrical elements. We become familiar with basic musical concepts such as slow–fast and slow–loud. The activity is completed with the creation of peculiar percussion instruments made by the children‘s group with the help of their parents.
