Under the imposing shadow of Meteora, on the afternoon of Thursday, July 8, Giannis Kalpouzos presented his new novel “Ragias. Days and nights 1821.” The beloved author, in a unique way, a hypnotic voice and a thorough narration, took the audience on a journey to pre-revolutionary Greece, when even the Rayads, as the Turks called the submissive Greeks, had not yet risen up for freedom.
Mr. Kalpouzos referred to the many years of research that preceded the writing of the book and expressed his desire to highlight the role of the invisible heroes, who were the soul of the uprising, sensitively presenting his view on the legacy of ordinary fighters of the Greek Revolution.
The popular author then spoke to the audience and stressed the importance of resisting what is not in line with respect, freedom and not walking with racism.
We thank Psychogios Publications for the long-term cooperation, as well as Mr. Kalpouzos for accepting our invitation and we wish him good luck with his new book.
