In a cheerful atmosphere, on Friday, June 12, 2020, the second cycle of free seminars for professional breeders by the School of Vocational Education of AFS entitled “Experiential training and counseling program for professional breeders” was completed. The seminars were held by the KalamBaka Library in collaboration with the American School of Agriculture in Thessaloniki.
The teaching program, lasting 48-54 hours over 8 months, aimed to train breeders to implement the best practices in livestock farms, improving the production of dairy products and meat products. In addition, a specialized experiential seminar was held for the graduates of last year’s seminar series focused on issues of genetic improvement, facilities and livestock and the selection of mechanical equipment.
The participants, after attending the last lesson of the cycle, then received a relevant certification from the AFS at Thessaloniki.
