On the afternoon of Tuesday, February 18, members of the Advisory Board met in the Library, in the presence of KDK Chairman Katerina Demoulas and Vice Chairman Apostolos Eliopoulos. The Board is composed of Mr. Nikolaos Katoikos, retired philologist, French professor Julia Samaras, computer science professor Gregory Derekenaris, Legal Adviser of the Municipality of Meteora Maria Vaiou and children’s author Vaggelis Iliopoulos.
Initially, there was a brief presentation of the Library’s services and statistics, followed by an open dialogue with committee members, where various issues were discussed on how to improve what the library offers in order to present new innovative services that will have a positive impact on the wider community of Kalambaka. They also discussed issues of possible partnerships with local bodies aimed at promoting the improvement of citizens’ living and mental needs.
