On Tuesday, April 4, Ms. Veatriki Saias-Magrizou’s book presentation, To Vrachioli tis Fotias [The Bracelet of Fire], took place. Ms. Magrizou began her speech by saying that this is about the dramatic journey of a Jewish family, her own family, as told to her by her father and in the promise he gave him to record his story. The story begins with the great fire of Thessaloniki in 1917 to continue until the Second World War and the hell of Auschwitz. Ms. Magrizou emphasized that this is not a book of hatred, but of memory and optimism for the future and life.
She then spoke about the adaptation of the book to the small screen, the warm reception of the public, the actors of the series and her satisfaction with the result. After the talk, the author read an excerpt from the book, answear the questions of the audience and signed copies of her book.
