Students from the 1st and 4th Grades of the Kalambaka 3rd Primary School became farmers for a while and visited the Library’s garden to harvest olives! With joy and team spirit, the children divided into groups, laid out their olive cloths and began to “comb” the branches so that the olives would fall. They cleaned them of leaves and branches and collected them in a clean coffin. Afterwards, they will visit an olive mill to see the olive oil production process up close!
The children had a unique experience that they will remember with love and lived for a while the everyday life of rural people. They learned about harvesting methods and the therapeutic and healthy benefits of olive oil for the human body.
We would like to thank the 3rd Primary School of Kalambaka for the cooperation and our little friends for the joy they spread to all of us!
