The screenings of the film “Eftychia” took place

Film screenings continue successfully in the courtyard of the Library for the audience of cinema lovers. On Tuesday, July 14 and Thursday, July 16, the screenings of the dramatic, biographical film “Eftychia took place, giving the audience moments of intense emotion.

The film narrates the turbulent life of the lyricist Eftychia Papagiannopoulou, starting with the Asia Minor Catastrophe and her relocation from Aidinio to Athens. Through the art of acting, he came into contact with famous musicians and composers of the time, such as Vassilis Tsitsanis and Apostolos Kaldaras. Unfortunately, her passion for papers played a catalytic role throughout her life.

The film, written by Katerina Bey and directed by Angelos Fratzis, captures in a unique way the important contribution of the lyricist to the evolution of Greek folk song.
