On the afternoon of Thursday, February 23rd, the members of the Adult Reading Club met to discuss the work of the famous author Kristin Hannah. The author of the international bestseller “The Nightingale” impressed the members with her writing style, sparking discussions about the thoughts and emotions provoked by her books.
All participants identified common elements in the works of the popular author, such as epic stories of human survival, youthful love blossoming against life’s adversities, the strength of the female gender, sacrifices in the name of love, deep cracks in family relationships, human weaknesses, as well as the hope and strength emerging in every plot.
The next meeting of the Reading Club will take place on Thursday, March 16th, with a tribute to the work of Nikos Kazantzakis, one of the most important contemporary Greek writers.
