The Kalambaka Educational, Literary and Cultural Civil Nonprofit Company (KDK) has finished the evaluation project which commenced due to its 5 years of operation. The President of KDK Mrs. Katerina Demoulas-Merriam and Vice President, Mr. Apostolos-Telemachus Eliopoulos met with the Library’s partners, the Mayor of Meteora and attended the meeting of the Thessaly Libraries organized by the Director of the Library, Ms. Theopi Katsiamani with the aim of developing a common strategy ofand services on an ongoing basis.
 
“The experience of the early years fills me with satisfaction and hope for the future of the Library,” said the President, Demoulas-Merriam. “We have reached 3,389 members and 183,082 visits on site, proof of our fellow citizens’ interest. The precious cooperation of the Police allows us to distribute books to all communities of the Meteora Municipality, and they have suggested we keep working together on different projects. When we asked the Mayor to upgrade our online communications, hetook preliminary steps within 24 hours. If, as we hope, the climate continues to be so positive I believe we have excellent prospects of renewing our bid for another five years. “
 
The President has appointed KDK’s Board of Directors to staff the new Library Advisory Board involved in the annual strategic planning which sets medium and long-term goals.
 
Speaking to the media, Mrs. Demoulas-Merriam and Mr. Eliopoulos reiterated their satisfaction with the efforts of the Library’s excellent staff who bring to life the vision of KDK under the guidance of Director Ms. Katsiamani. who added, “My work is to support and let my colleagues shine. I don’t exist without them. “
