In the thematic workshop that took place on Monday 14/3, our little readers learned about the custom of Lent, which always served as a calendar to count the weeks from Holy Monday to Holy Week!
First, the book “Step by step to the Brilliant with Lent” was read and then the children painted their own Lent, which depicts a woman with 7 legs, arms crossed because she prays, a cross on her head because she goes to church and without a mouth because he is fasting! So, at the end of each week, after Holy Monday, the children will cut off one of her legs until the last one, which they will cut on Holy Saturday.
The purpose of the workshop was for the children to learn that the custom of Lent is one of the oldest Greek customs related to the celebration of Easter, when it is made and what it symbolizes.
