On the afternoon of Thursday, February 2nd, the meeting of the Adult Reading Club took place, focusing on the work of the Catalan author Carlos Ruiz Zafon. Members were captivated by “The Cemetery of Forgotten Books” and the mysterious, dark Barcelona, whose history unravels from the Middle Ages, passes through the Civil War, and reaches our days.
The gothic writing of the award-winning author both thrilled and intrigued the members, who embarked on a journey with various colors and textures into the heart of Barcelona. The plot of the books, filled with mystery, love, intense characters, and twists, prompted members to read all of the author’s books.
