On Wednesday, June 2, the meeting of the Trikala Penitentiary Book Club took place. The popular journalist and writer Menios Sakellaropoulos was invited and spoke about his new love of writing and the messages he wants to get across through his books.
The members showed their enthusiasm for Mr. Sakellaropoulos’ face, due to his successful career not only in journalism but also in writing. They expressed views and feelings about the intense and topical book I Pyramida tis Orgis [Pyramid of Rage], in which the author refers to the daily struggle for survival, the violation of values and consciences on the altar of money, the performance of justice, but also the hope that must never be lost. Mr. Sakellaropoulos insisted on a phrase, which he follows and wanted to share with the participants:
“Only he who loses his dreams is lost…” “… to continue dreaming until the dream comes to purify our soul”
Many thanks to Mr. Sakellaropoulos for accepting our invitation, as well as Psychogios publications for the kind donation of copies.
