This morning the students of the 2nd grade of the 3rd Elementary School of Kalambaka had the opportunity to be introduced to an important process for the people of the countryside, olive harvesting! With enthusiasm and team spirit, the children divided into groups, spread the cloths and began to “comb” the branches to make the olives fall. Then they cleaned them of leaves and twigs and collected them in a clean coffin.
Τhe children, along with the olives they harvested, will visit an olive mill, so they can see the olive oil production process up close. The students learned the value of this precious commodity and that everything made with passion and effort acquires a special “deliciousness!”.
We would like to thank the 3rd Elementary School of Kalambaka for the cooperation and the little “farmers” for the joy they offered to all of us.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
