On Wednesday 13/4 the 6th grade of the 1st Elementary School of Kalambaka visited the Library where they got acquainted with the Charter of Rigas Feraios, one of the most important works of the Modern Greek Enlightenment and the most important samples of Greek cartography of the pre-revolutionary period.
The owns a copy of this great monument, as it has been characterized.
The students were introduced to the history of the creation of the Map, the codes, the symbols and their use as means of communication contained in it. This is the first map in the world that was officially associated with a Revolution. The purpose of this great work was the spiritual awakening of the enslaved Hellenism in order to revolt.
