On Wednesday 18/10 we had the pleasure to welcome the students of the 2nd and 3rd Grades of the Kalambaka 4th Primary School to the Library for the implementation of the action “Silence… the brown bear will wake up” from the Microbiology & Parasitology Laboratory of the Department of Veterinary Medicine of the University of Thessaly and the Art & Education Workshop Vysinokipos.
The action took place within the framework of the European project “Strengthening the sustainability of brown bears in Central Italy and Greece, through the development of coexistence corridors with humans” and included a puppet show by the “Cherry Orchard” Puppet Theater entitled “Silence …the brown bear will wake up”, while interactive games with the students followed.
The children enjoyed the show, learned about the evolution of the brown bear, its biology, ecology, the risks it faces as a species, enriched their knowledge, while at the same time raising awareness of environmental protection issues.
