On the afternoon of Tuesday, February 14, the annual meeting of the Library’s Advisory Board took place online. The President of KDK, Mrs. Katerina Demoula Merriam, and the Vice-President, Mr. Apostolos Eliopoulos, addressed a short greeting and welcomed the two new members, Mr. Christos Karakitsios, teacher of the Vocational High School of Kalambaka and Ms. Dimitra Sanida, teacher of the 2nd Gymnasium of Kalambaka.
The Committee also consists of Ms. Connie Mourtoupalas, Cultural Attaché of the Greek Embassy in the USA, Mr. Nikolaos Katikos, retired Philologist, the author of children’s books Mr. Vangelis Iliopoulos, the French teacher Mrs. Julia Samaras, IT professor Mr. Grigorio Derekenari and the legal advisor of the Municipality of Meteora, Ms. Maria Vaiou.
First, a short presentation of statistical data was showed, referring to the programs and services of the Library during the past year, and then an open dialogue followed with the members of the committee, regarding the improvement of the services provided. Furthermore, issues of new innovative services and the development of new partnerships with foreign bodies were discussed, in the context of the Library’s extroversion.
