The 6th Grade of the 1st Primary School of Kalambaka participated in the educational activitz “Like a Small Boat That Will Harbor …”, which took place at the Library in collaboration with the Cartographic Heritage Archive and the General Archives of the State.
The purpose of the activitz is to highlight, disseminate and utilize the archives in the educational process. The children got acquainted with the rich and important archival material from the pre-revolutionary years and the years of the Struggle at sea, such as maps, portraits, engravings, letters, heirlooms, flags, navigation instruments, etc. and learned everyday stories, thoughts and difficulties of life in the Aegean of the Revolution.
The students then participated in activities and games, using digital applications, through which they approached important events, military operations, fleet organizational issues, but also emblematic naval personalities that changed the course of history.
