The Library on Monday, October 25 participated in the 27th Panhellenic Conference of Academic Libraries organized by the University of Patras and the main theme was “Libraries: beacons of freedom of knowledge”.
The presentation showed the collaborative work with the Vocational School of Wood Carving & Decorative Furniture of Kalambaka of ELGO DIMITRA, “Wood Carving Remembers 1821”, which is implemented in the context of the celebration of the 200th anniversary of the Greek Revolution and is under the auspices of Greece. 2021 ”and Activity Sponsor the company Eren Hellas.
The aim of the project is to highlight the art of wood carving through the use of 3D imaging technologies, as well as the utilization of the traditional cultural stock in order to support local development. At the same time, the portability of the technological infrastructure can be a means of promoting wood carving around the world.
The stages of the project were presented and analyzed, the workflow that is followed, since the project is in progress, as well as the challenges that are faced in its realization.
