The project of digitization of the collection of manuscript codices of the Holy Monastery of Rousanou, implemented in collaboration with MIET, was presented on Friday, October 1 at the 4th Panhellenic Conference on Digitization of Cultural Heritage, Euromed 2021. The organizers of the conference were the University of West Attica, the Cyprus University of Technology and the Cultural Organization “Perravia Network”, under the auspices of the President of the Hellenic Republic Mrs. Katerina Sakellaropoulou and A.Th. His Holiness the Ecumenical Patriarch of Constantinople, Mr. Bartholomew.
The presentation exhibited the design and completion stages of the project, the organization and documentation of digital archives, the Collection Management System, as well as future project extensions, such as the new collaboration of the Library with the National Center for Documentation & Electronic Content, so that the collection is available at the European Digital Library Europeana.
Through a short tour of the collection, the delegates, representatives of cultural institutions, teachers and researchers, were informed about the historical context of the handwritten codes, the functions and possibilities of the electronic catalog and how to search the collection.
