On Friday, June 16, the start of the Summer Reading and Creativity Campaign organized by the National Library of Greece entitled “100 exactly! Treasures of Alki and Georges…” took place.
Initially, the children learned some information about the life and work of Alki Zei and George Sari, who this year marks the 100th anniversary of their birth. Afterwards, they were divided into two groups, the “George” group and the “Alki” group, with the task of locating titles by the two favorite authors in the Library. Then, with the books they found, they formed the number one hundred, thus marking the start of KE 2023! Finally, all the children got a KE diary to write down their impressions of their participation in the workshops and borrowed books for home.
The next workshop of the KE will take place on Tuesday, July 4 in the village of Agiofyllo.
