On Wednesday, November 15, the opening of the exhibition of paintings, sculptures, engravings by the well-known artist Stavros Kotsireas entitled “Meteora, Eternal Light” took place.
The exhibition includes part of the works created by the artist on the theme of Meteora, where his characteristic landscapes, sculptures, ink drawings and woodcuts presented. The power of nature served as an inspiration for the artist who created a series of works that are distinguished both for their morphological balance and their color organization. The artist talked to the public about the warm colors of his enchanting landscapes, the expressiveness of the lines and the absence of human presence.
Mr. Kotsireas has been living and working in England since 1994 and has presented his work in dozens of individual and group exhibitions, both abroad and in Greece. His work is in private, public and corporate collections.
The exhibition will be hosted at the Library until January 10, 2024.
