Τhe presentation of the book by the well-known author Spyros Petroulakis “The Legacy” took place on Friday, December 8.
The author, after welcoming the audience by serving “raki”, the traditional drink of Crete, referred to personal moments that led him to write the book. He made a specia reference to the need of having a child and to the questions that readers are invited to answer based on their moral or emotional side.
Against the background of the raisin uprising in the Peloponnese region back in 1935 and a legal dispute in Athens today, it poses questions such as what happens when the boundaries become indiscernible? How many red lines will a parent cross to save his child? What prevails in the end, the heart or the logic?
The book was prefaced by the lawyer Vassiliki Michou, referring to the messages the author wants to convey, his writing and style, but also to the many moral dilemmas that make the reader lean either to one side or to the other. The actor and writer Zisis Papaioannou read excerpts from the book.
