In an extremely friendly atmosphere, the teleconference with Mr. Dimitris Karathanos took place on the afternoon of Thursday, May 14, 2020, regarding the impact of the pandemic on the psychology of children and the role of parents. Mr. Karathanos is the coordinator of educational work of the Regional Center of Educational Planning of Thessaly and serves with great responsibility and love the educational community.
Using the story of the three little pigs, Mr. Karathanos tried to communicate thoughts, opinions and ideas about the dangers that lurk in the lives of young adults and children. It is the duty of all, especially parents and teachers, to teach children to think, to express thoughts and feelings and to boost their self-esteem, gradually leading them to independence and autonomy. The period of compulsory self-isolation, but also the later period, is an opportunity to redefine values, build true human relationships, invest in the family and teach children the dangers and how to deal with them. Happiness, creativity and love are the foundations on which we will rely to face the future.
