The teleconference with the well-known and beloved author Mr. Christos Homenidis took place in a pleasant atmosphere on the afternoon of Friday, April 24. Mr. Homenidis referred to his writing activity and the joy of creating a new book. As he put it: “I like to create a universe on my own aesthetic terms.” His daily routine includes writing and he stated that he likes to portray Greek society in a naturalistic way. The discussion was not limited to the subject of his books, but also many views were expressed on the current socio-economic situation that the country is experiencing in the midst of a pandemic.
Mr. Homenidis discussed with the audience and answered with honesty the questions of the participants.
The teleconference was attended by Mrs. Katerina Demoulas, Chairman of the Library, as well as Vice Chairman Apostolos Eliopoulos, who live in the United States.
We thank Mr. Homenidis for accepting our invitation and we wish him a good trip with his new book that will be released soon. We hope for a lifelong contact with him, as he has pledged to visit the Library when conditions allow.
