On Thursday 26 May, the members of the Adult Book Club had the pleasure of chatting online with the well-known and beloved author Claire Theodorou.
After the recent presentation, which had been held at the Library on the book “Women’s Affair” by Theodorou and Mandas, the members showed particular interest in the work of the popular author and chose to study her work. They discussed her source of inspiration, the research she conducts each time while writing and expressed thoughts and questions about the themes and the choice of protagonists. They stressed the “truth” found in all her works and the understanding with which she counters the psychological situations of her heroes.
The participants’ interest was mainly focused on her latest book, “The King Always Dies Last”, which is her first attempt in the category of crime fiction. The author confessed that her ‘turn’ to detective fiction was due to her passion for mysterious stories, unsolved cases and unsolved puzzles since childhood.
