On the morning of Wednesday, May 3, we had the pleasure of welcoming the 1st grade students of the Kalambaka 1st Primary School to the Library. Our little friends were given a tour of the children’s section and got to know the collection of books and board games, as well as the electronic catalog (opac). They were informed about the programs they can follow and the process of becoming a member of the Library.
This was followed by a discussion with the children about the benefits they get from reading, the steps involved in publishing a book and the professions involved in the process, their favorite books and the new imaginary worlds they travel with the heroes of fairy tales . Finally, before leaving, all the children borrowed books and promised to become avid readers!
