On the morning of Monday 15 July, we welcomed 25 children in order to explore Planet Mars!
Initially, we talked about Mars, the origin of its name, it satellites and its special characteristics. The children watched some short videos and resorted to books and photos to get information on its size, texture and surface. Then, they calculated how much they would weigh on the Red Planet, learned about the parts of the astronaut’s uniform, and designed their own uniforms on paper.
Finally, with the help of the LEGO WeDo 2.0 training packages, they led the Milo Rover on the surface of Planet Mars to collect data that would be sent to Earth. The mission to our nearby planet was successful!
