Savvas Kalenteridis: “Turkey’s Blue Schizophrenia – Risks for Cyprus and Greece”

On Thursday, September 10, at 7:00 p.m., the Library hosts Mr. Savvas Kalenteridis for a timely talk on geopolitical developments in the Eastern Mediterranean and the challenges facing Greece and Cyprus.

Mr. Kalenteridis is a former military intelligence officer with the Greek National Intelligence Service, an author, and a geopolitical analyst. His work focuses, among other areas, on Greek-Turkish relations, energy competition in the Eastern Mediterranean, and the role and influence of major powers, such as the United States and Russia, in developments across the wider region.

During the talk, Mr. Kalenteridis will examine key aspects of Turkey’s geostrategy and the concept of the “Blue Homeland,” as well as the potential implications and risks for Cyprus and Greece.
