Book Club Meeting

In today’s Book Club meeting, we step away from the safety of the light and dive into the labyrinthine worlds of two leading figures in crime fiction and psychological thrillers: Sebastian Fitzek and Mo Hayder.

What we will discuss:

• Sebastian Fitzek: Germany’s “wizard” of plot twists. We will analyze how he manages to trap his heroes (and us) in claustrophobic settings, playing with the boundaries of logic and fear. Are his twists strokes of genius or simply shocking?

• Mo Hayder: The author who was never afraid of absolute darkness. We will talk about the raw intensity, the atmosphere, and her ability to touch the darkest corners of the human soul through the cases of Inspector Jack Caffery.
