The Adult Reading Club members will be pleased to talk with the well-known author Mrs. Eugenia Fakinou on Thursday, November 4, at 7:00 p.m. in the context of their monthly meeting. The incredible journey of the beloved author’s books and the impact they had on the public stimulated the members to want to study her work and exchange views and ideas with the author herself.

In 1976 Mrs. Fakinou created the puppet theater Ntenekedoupoli [Tin Town], which was a great success and since then she has written and illustrated many children’s books. Her first novel, entitled Astradeni, affected readers and is considered, if not the best, one of the top novels of the post-colonial era. In 2005 he was honored with the Readers’ Award (National Book Center) for the novel I Methodos tis Orleanis [The Orleans Method] and in 2008 with the State Short Story Award for the collection of short stories Filodoxies Kipou [Garden Aspirations].

We thank Ms. Fakinou, as well as Kastaniotis Publications for their cooperation.
